October Endurance Trail Ride
Witch Dance Endurance Trail Ride
The Witch Dance Endurance Ride is held on trails along the historic Natchez Trace Parkway in the Tombigbee National Forest near Houston, Mississippi. The trails are primarily through woods in gentle hills. There are some logging roads and some gravel roads. Horse shoes are recommended.
The ride is being held in a DRY COUNTY; therefore, ride management will not be responsible for alcoholic beverages on the premises. Due to Forest Service Request, there will be no smoking on the trail.
The Pre-ride vet check will begin Friday afternoon, with a rider's meeting to be held about 7:00 PM. All vet checks will be held in camp. Dinner will be served Saturday afternoon. Presentation of many nice awards will be held after the last rider has completed the ride and is in camp.
CAMPING: Electric hook-ups are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Payment for electricity is not included in the camping fee and will be payable to Donna Schomburg. Please contact Donna concerning possible reservations of these spots at 662-542-4337 or www.stinkinjims.com. Many water faucets are around the campground for your convenience. Restrooms, showers and a covered pavilion is available. (Donna and her crew have been diligently working on additions and renovations to the horse camp amenities.)
