Stinkin Jim's Horse Camp and Trail Rides
How did we get the name Stinkin Jims?
When we purchased the camp ground in September of 2005,
we had thought seriously about changing the name. The trail camp had been in
existence for over 15 years and everyone knows it and remembers from the
catchy name.
The fellow who started it , as a kid, had Scarlet Fever.
He was stunted and is very small and skinny to this day. He used to ride his
hog to the mailbox up the road. A photographer came to take his picture and
his three sisters (who were mean as snakes) were trying to get him to stand
still. The photographer got mad and said "that Stinkin Jim" and the girls from
then on called him that.
I have to be very careful because they are still around
too.
